As part of my assignments, I was to come up with ideas for the upcoming blog that Bridal Culture NYC will be releasing at the end of the summer. Along with the ideas that I brainstormed, I was to then make an outline and draft of a handful of the ideas that would be posted. Below are a couple of raw blog posts that I have made throughout my internship. These posts have helped me with the quality of my writing skills.

In order to help create these posts, I had to become familiar with the language that was used on the website prior. So at first, I started reading past posts in order to examine the type of language my boss wanted to see come across in these posts. My audience is mostly brides, keeping in mine that was who I would be writing for. My blog posts are informational posts about the small shops, venues, diy, home, wedding, ect.  around my surrounding area in Brooklyn. Becuase of this I was really able to get to know my surrounding area, and really take in all the culture.

Below are posted pdfs of my leads, which I forward to my boss in order to be prepared to be posted on the blog.

These are examples of raw outlines:

Blog Leads

This is an example of a lead for a blog post that I have completed. For this specific lead, I went and toured The Green Building in Brooklyn, NY. A potential venue for a bride.

Part of my internship was going around and viewing different types of venues, so I would be able to get a feel of the different aspects each of offered. Looking at this specific venue, it's more of a raw and rustic space compared to a grand hotel.

This is a lead for an 'apartment wedding ' post. My assignment was to search rentable apartments in the New York area, which can be potential venues for a wedding.

In this post, I was to find leads of Ikea DIY project and then come up with an intro and preview for each project.
